PHCC Has Broken the Training Mold! PHCC TEXAS Plumbing Apprenticeship!
Our exciting plumbing apprenticeship training programs are challenging the old methods of training to offer young people the kind of training they want and need! In the CEF program, the plumbing apprentice will attend class for four ten-hour days once each quarter for the full year. In the San Antonio PHCC program, a night school format is followed. Both programs are Department of Labor approved. This means that the student qualifies for better incentives by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners when it comes to licensing requirements.
- The program is approved by the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship.
- Instructors leads students through a comprehensive 4 year curriculum that includes both classroom and hands-on training.
- State of the Art training labs and model house for practice for Journeyman or Tradesman exam.
- Additional 1000 OJT hours granted to the student upon graduation. Can be applied to licensing exam application requirements.
- Graduates of these programs qualify to sit for Master exam just ONE year following Journeyman license attainment.
Testimonial: "After the first two classes, students are conscientious about quality and are learning the right way to do things. Feelings of self-worth are greatly increased. They know they are becoming an asset to their company."
---Joe Dan Parson, ARS Rescue Rooter
Testimonial: "Chambliss Plumbing has been involved with the PHCC San Antonio program for four years now. We currently have six students enrolled. The days for these apprentices are long with both work and school, but the sacrifice is more than justified. We have two men in their fourth and final year and both are now licensed, and well-rounded Journeyman Plumbers. Both of these had test scores that were excellent. We are more than happy with what opportunities the PHCC San Antonio program has given our employees."
Kevin Chambliss, Chambliss Plumbing Co.
Testimonial: "Apprenticeship is an avenue of success for many. I have seen graduate engineers go through apprenticeships to simply gain the knowledge provided and see a pathway of opportunity spill out in front of them. Our apprentices join with great expectations and witness the success of growth through greater responsibility, licensing and increased graduated pay scales. As the students move past different milestones they experience the weight and reward of each step with the ultimate goal of providing a better life for their families and for themselves. I say; let them attend and grow!"
