Specifically, "Before a Plumbing Inspector, Journeyman, or Master Plumber may qualify to take the Medical Gas Piping Installation endorsement examination, the applicant must complete a training program approved by the Board which pertains to subject matter applicable to the installation of medical gas piping systems" per the (NFPA) 99 Health Care Facilities Code. Also, per new rules, it is strongly advised that each candidate for the Journeyman or Master Med Gas endorsement complete a sufficient amount of brazing practice prior to attending the class. Course fee includes a copy of the NFPA 99 current edition (2024) to keep (a $134 value).

Course Information:

This course is designed to help Plumbing Contractors fulfill their annual 6-hour continuing education requirements with the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners. TSBPE rules have amended the CE course year and plumbers now have 12 months to complete their required CE regardless of expiration date. This course is valid for any license renewal within 12 months of completion.

Chapter 2: Gas Lines, Piping and Venting

Chapter 3: OSHA Refresher

Course Information:
The 40 hr. tester certification course provides the training and information necessary to become licensed to test and maintain backflow prevention assemblies. This course is approved by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners (TSBPE) with the practical skills portion of the exam provided as part of the course. The practical skills portion of the exam is given the last day of class with the written exam provided at a TCEQ regional office or computer-based testing facility after course completion.
